Anne-Lise Larsen is pleased to announce the release of her new album, Planets Aligned, the follow up to her 2006 EP, "I'm Alive". Planets Aligned consists of 9 new original songs of a musical style Anne-Lise describes as "intense chill". Penned, arranged, recorded, programmed and produced entirely by Anne-Lise in her studio, Planets Aligned is retro inspired, with a modern electronic twist. The title of her new album is sourced from a line of the album's final and most pop influenced track, Itty Bitty Love Ditty, "The night we met the planets aligned my love, our first kiss sealed my fate you see". While the song title may appear flippant, the sentiment is sincere and a fitting resolution to the sometimes romantic turbulence of the work. "This album has been such a wonderful journey, both musically and personally, that I really feel like the planets aligned for me in more ways than one. Planets Aligned was the natural choice for title." says Anne-Lise.

Planets Aligned was produced with a variety of synthesizers, vintage keyboard sounds, percussion, "live" and electronic drum loops and a layering of 70s soul inspired backing vocals. It's music for those who yearn for glamour, groove, emotion and substance. Imagine Dusty Springfield, Grace Jones and Goldfrapp stuck in an elevator and you might be getting the picture. In addition to performing all the album's vocals, keyboards, percussion and programming, Anne-Lise also played her 19th century French cello on the fifth track, "Felt So Good". "It is one of the more painful tracks on the album, and my cello solo conveys emotions not easily expressed in words" says Anne-Lise.
