Essential Requirements

  • A playing area (relative to size of group) which allows free space between the musicians and guests (bows do have a habit of poking guests accidentally if too close!)
  • Suitable cover if playing outdoors - our string instruments are over 100 years old and don't cope well with the harsh Australian direct sunlight or rain.
  • Lighting must be suitable to read music (comfort level of reading a book at arms length)
  • One armless chair per player.

Breaks and Refreshments

Larsen Music musicians require a 10-15 minute break every hour. Your booking sheet will have breaks listed clearly in the run sheet.

Please supply a non-alcoholic beverage to Larsen Music during breaks.

If the booking is 4 or more hours, each Larsen Music musician must be supplied with a meal and meal break, to be taken at appropriate time of the event. (This may be at the end of the 4 hour booking, or during a 4 hours + booking).

Our Commitment to Your Event

Repertoire Selections

Any extraordinary repertoire selections, beyond the Larsen Music catalogue including pop songs and music provided by client, must be finalised 7 days prior to your event. Larsen Music needs that time to ensure the pieces will be rehearsed adequately.

Dress Code

Larsen Music musicians wear dress black or evening wear.

Seamless Performance

Larsen Music musicians arrive 15 minutes prior to your event to set up for a seamless transition into performance before guests arrive.

Anne-Lise Larsen is a classically trained cellist who graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. She has over 20 years in the music industry as a professional singer, cellist and singer/songwriter. Larsen Music musicians are Conservatorium graduates with at least five years professional experience. In the event that one of our musicians is ill or unable to attend for some other unforseen circumstance for your event, we will substitute with an equally experienced and talented player. Our reputation rides on the quality of our musicians. You will always be getting the best.

Your Event Runneth Over

While Larsen Music will be happy to continue playing at your event, should the booking time have expired, it may not always be possible. This will have to be discussed on the day. We will make every effort to continue if no other bookings follow. Standard contract rates + 50% will apply. Under no circumstance will we cancel a following booking.
